Director of Property

JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Properties is responsible for the overall operation and coordination of all maintenance and environmental services programs at Wendell Foster.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to planning and evaluation of all property and equipment needs and services, preventive maintenance programs, policy and procedure development and compliance, regulatory compliance, staff supervision and budget planning.

CLIENT SUPPORT FUNCTION:

The Director of Properties supports the mission of WF through focused and prideful leadership in the operation of WF’s maintenance and environmental services departments; doing so in a manner that assures that clean, safe and functional facilities, grounds and equipment are available for use by WF’s clientele and employees at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- At least 5 years experience in facilities maintenance, equipment repairs or building construction

- At least 2 years experience in supervisory management

-Experience in project planning and implementation oversight

- Associates degree in relevant field, with bachelor’s degree preferred

- Certificates in such areas as electricity, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or mechanics plus significant employment in related fields may be considered in lieu of degree requirement

 Other requirements:

- Good verbal and written communication skills

- Basic computer skills

- Experience in budget preparation and oversight

- General knowledge of Life Safety Code and fire regulations, OSHA and other safety regulations

Director of Human Resources

Wendell Foster, a 70 year nonprofit organization serving people with disabilities and employing 320 people in a variety of direct service, administrative and professional clinical service positions, is seeking a Director of Human Resources. The successful applicant should have a bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field with at least three (3) years' experience in human resources management or other department management position. Professional human resources certifications and trainings preferred.

The successful candidate should be capable of writing, interpreting and administering personnel policies and should have knowledge of state and federal labor laws including but not limited to compensation, benefits, workers compensations and leave administration. The applicant should be professional in appearance and behavior and capable of representing the organization publicly and professionally in a variety of settings. The person should have excellent communication, employee engagement and conflict resolution skills. The position is required to act as the staff consultant on human resources and employee development issues and partner with a diverse senior management team.

Other duties include administration or oversight of health insurance and retirement plans and provide contract negotiations, interaction with attorneys and the courts on personnel matters, employee recruitment, workers compensation claims, OSHA and FMLA compliance, employee assistance programs, unemployment insurance, maintenance of all required personnel and training records and other common activities in the human resources arena.

Autism Program Aide

JOB SUMMARY:

 The Autism Program Aide assists the Autism Program Manager in providing support and training to the participants enrolled in the Kelly Autism Program.

CLIENT SUPPORT FUNCTION:

 The Autism Program Aide promotes independence and productivity among individuals with autism by providing the highest quality services through the Kelly Autism Program. By offering practical, transferrable social skills training, the Autism Program Aide supports the mission of WFCDD by helping program participants and their families meet their goals and become more engaged in their communities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma

• Experience working with children, adolescents, or adults with autism and other disabilities is preferred

• Progress toward college degree in Exceptional Education, Psychology, Communication Disorders, Elementary Education, Social Work, or related field preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Self-motivated

• Excellent Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy is critical

Direct Support Professional

Direct Support Professionals provide direct support while ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals with disabilities. They also assist in the areas of self-help, activities of daily living, and socialization.

Our DSPs are passionate about serving others and provide meaningful work in a variety of community and residential settings.
